KEEP BUGS AWAY WITH A NON-TOXIC MASON JAR REPELLENT

There are lots of bugs especially in the summer. A mason jar with citronella oil isn’t any new thing. However, you can also make pretty luminaries using essential oils rather than chemicals to help keep bugs away.

DIY-Bug-Repellent-Summer-Mason-Jar-Luminaries

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

40 drops each of Lemon, Lavender, Cedarwood, and Thieves or OnGuard (depending on the brand). You can also use other oils but these are the best for repellent though eucalyptus and lemongrass are also effective.

  • 4 Mason or jelly jars (this would mean 10 drops of each oil per jar)
  • 2 fresh limes
  • 2 fresh lemons
  • 8 fresh rosemary sprigs
  • Water
  • Floating tealight candles
