If you eat healthy, you probably do not have problems with digestion, and you are aware that you can reduce the risk of diseases such as diabetes, for example. However, you might decide to give up and allow yourself a break. Have you ever wondered what might happen if you eat fast food five days in a row?
According to a new study from Virginia Tech, just five days of consuming fatty foods can change the way the body processes nutrients.
In other words, most of the energy needed by the body is used to maintain body temperature (basal metabolism), which is the primary sources of energy carbohydrates (glucose) and fat. Muscles “smash” the glucose and convert it into energy.
Changes in these processes of glucose increase the risk of health problems and of developing diabetes, according to Yahoo.
