To prepare the simplest nettle syrup you will need the following ingredients:
1 kg leaves of young and fresh nettle
2,5 l water
2,5 kg sugar (500 g for every 500 ml of water)
First, wash the nettle leaves thoroughly, press them out, and then put them in water. Let the nettle boil for an hour adding water every once in a while. Next, drain the nettle liquid and add the sugar stirring continuously until it melts completely. Afterwards, pour the syrup in a glass bottle and close it tightly.
