Many believe that the chicken soup is an excellent medicine that will alleviate the symptoms.  Add hot peppers in the chicken soup that will help in cleaning your nasal passages and reducing inflammations. Also many other food products can help you with a nasal congestion.

With inhaling menthol essential oil it may temporarily clean the nasal passages. On a paper towel put two drops of peppermint essential oil and inhale.

Drinking hot beverages, particularly green tea helps with nasal congestion.

You should avoid drinking coffee and other caffeinated beverages because it can cause deterioration.

If you suffer from nasal congestion, showering with hot water can help because it opens up the nasal passages.

Tomato juice helps with blocked sinuses, and gives the body a large dose of vitamin C, which will improve your immunity.

Garlic is also a great produce against infections. Make a hot sauce from garlic and serve it warm with your favorite foods.

Two cups of water should be boiled with eight drops of tea tree oil. Pour the boiling water into the pan, put a towel over your head and inhale the steam. Just be careful not to get burned.

It is very important to prevent the nasal congestion. Maintain proper humidity levels, especially in winter because the dry air causes inflammations. Your home should always be clean to prevent the viruses and bacteria from spreading. Consume plenty of vitamin C, which strengthens the immune system and prevents colds.
