Don’t throw your stale bread, instead, be creative and have a nice and tasty meal. I’m calling this recipe “old bread in a new package”…
- 1 stale loaf
- 50 grams of cheese
- 50 ml of olive oil
- 4-5 garlic cloves
- Black pepper
- Cut the bread into slices as showed on the picture below.
- Use some deep container and make a mixture from the olive oil, crumpled garlic, basil and parsley.
- Smear this mixture in between each slice and at the top of the bread as well. At the end grate the cheese on top of the bread.
- Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and bake it for 20 minutes on 200 degrees Celsius (392 Fahrenheit). Remove the foil before the bread is done in order to get a redden and crispy bread.
