Breakfast is the most important meal during the day and shouldn’t be skipped. Lisa Young, nutritionist from New York explains that our breakfast should be balanced if we don’t want to be surprised from our body weight next time we step on the scale. She recommends us to avoid the following breakfast mistakes:
- Drinking Artificial Juices
The orange juice bought from the stores includes much more sugar and calories than the juice made from fresh orange which contains fibers and will keep you satiated for longer period of time.
- Consuming Large Portion of Cereals
Cereals are good choice for breakfast, but you have to be careful with the dose. Most of the people eat 2-3 portions which is much more than the recommended dose, which means increased calorie intake.
- Eating Pastry for your Breakfast
The pastries with melted cheese are delicious, but you should consume them occasionally. One croissant has the same amount of calories like 5 pieces of bread. You should consume wholemeal toast, smeared with
- Consuming Fruit Yogurts
Yogurt is very good choice for your breakfast. But the sweetened yogurts are often loaded with additional calories which you don’t really need. Therefore, you should choose the regular low-calorie yogurt and if you want to sweeten it you can add some real fruits like strawberries, raspberries or blueberries.
